ALT has been hearing and seeing things at the park over the last few months, while Screamscape has also heard one rumor for 2016 suggesting the park may be planning on adding their own B&M Launched Wing Coaster, similar in Holiday World's Thunderbird. According to the rumor, one line of thought may be to somehow reuse the old Chiller station structure for the new coaster (it's wide enough, as it did used to hold two side-by-side launched coasters) and maybe even have the coaster launch out and through the old Observatory structure, which is also still standing, with the rest of the layout running somewhere between here and the water tower area and back.

It would be nice to see this section of the park brought back to life again.

El Diablo Media Event 16 May 2015 19:52 #35

El Diablo at Six Flags Great Adventure is now open, and ALT was in attendance at the Media Event mid last week!

The whole area looks really great!

El Diablo is a VERY fun ride, and a great addition to Great Adventure's collection of attractions! Thanks to Six Flags Great Adventure for inviting All-American Thrills to the media event! We're extremely excited for Batman Backwards later this summer!

Great Adventure 2016 Construction Update #1 19 Jul 2015 22:56 #36

Early signs of construction at Six Flags Great Adventure have been spotted! We were at Six Flags this past Thursday, and took many pictures and videos.

Watch this video for complete coverage of the area as well as commentary:

The area within the new construction fence is huge. It goes all the way from Fort Independence aqua theatre, down to the Great Lake Grandstand and behind the Yum Yum Cafe.

Rumors indicate that Fort Independence will be demolished to make way for the 2016 attraction.

There are several survey markings and flags in the area.

Flags and survey marks.

The fence just keeps going, and going, and going...

It really does extend very far down. If the attraction/coaster utilizes all of this space, the possibilities are nearly endless.

Festival Stage appears to be coming down.

Crane in Fort Independence.

Fort Independence has been completely drained.

Will the Great Lake Grandstand be demolished?

Seeing the area firsthand and in person, you can really gauge how large it is.

Don't forget to also watch the video!

Thank you for reading and watching. We'll keep you all posted as more comes out about Six Flags Great Adventure 2016!
